Vineyard Management: Mechanized vineyard management, only sulphur powder and copper sulphate are used against cryptogamic diseases. Organic Farming – EC Controlo System Sativa PT/AB03
Climate and Soil: Hot and dry, schistous argilous
Harvest Period: From the 2nd week of September until 2nd week of October
Type of Harvest: 100% by hand to 300 Kg cases which are conducted to the winery in two hours
Vinification: The grapes are crushed and destemmed; cold maceration for 48 hours in “lagares” with punching down system and then alcoholic fermentation in tank for 2-3 weeks followed by malolactic fermentation in “cuvaison” for 20-30 days
Fermentation Temperature: 18-20 ºC
Fermentation Equipment: 11 tons stainless steel tanks
Ageing: The wine aged for 18 months in 225 Lts oak barrels extra fine grain, of new  and used French oak barrels, the Tinta Roriz aged in 2nd rotation of American oak

TASTING NOTES:
Colour : Deep red colour
Aroma : Intense vinous aroma full of cherry jam, blackberries, rock-rose and cassis with sweet chocolate, dominated by Touriga Nacional bergamot and basil notes.
Palate: On the palate ends with a long fruity aftertaste and well balanced tannins.
